Hunters Guesthouse Terms and Conditions                                 

We welcome you to Hunters Guesthouse.  When you make your booking, we ask that you read our terms and conditions mindfully and acknowledge the acceptance of this agreement entered into with us.  We do reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. 

Arrival check-ins and departure check-outs

You may check in at any time from 14h00 on your day of arrival.  Should you know that you will need to check in later than 20h00, please give us a call so that we know that you are on your way.

You are asked to vacate your room by no later than 10h00 on the morning of your departure.  Should you need to leave your baggage to be collected at a later time, chat to us and we will store it safely for you.


To secure your booking, a deposit of 50% of your accommodation payment is required by EFT (electronic fund transfer), either on the day you book or, if you’ve booked earlier, at least 20 days before your scheduled arrival date.

The exception to the policy is for bookings during peak times and special events where the full amount for your stay must be paid at least 20 days before your arrival.  Failure to do so may negate your booking.

Additional Payments

Payment for any additional personal or business expenses, or an extended stay, will be due on the morning you depart and must be settled by EFT or cash.

Cancellations by Guests

In the event of a guest cancelling up to 14 days prior to arrival, no charges will be levied.

Should the booking be cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled date of arrival, or should a guest fail to arrive without notification, the full reservation charge will be levied against them.

All bookings are taken in good faith.  We are unable to judge reasons for change, cancellation or non-arrival.  No exceptions to these conditions will be made, whether for accommodation, goods, meals, drinks or services.

Guests are encouraged to take out a suitable personal insurance product to cover unexpected costs for cancellations, as we reserve the right to take legal action through the courts, to recover any outstanding debt.

 Cancellation by Us

Should it be necessary for Hunters Guesthouse to cancel your booking, we will contact you immediately and any payments made will be refunded in full.

At your request, we will attempt to book alternate accommodation of the similar standard.  Should the new establishment be more expensive than Hunters Guesthouse, we will pay the difference for the first night of your stay.  Our liability will not extend beyond these conditions.

 Car Parking

Parking is available on the street verge under street lighting.  Cars are parked here at the guest’s own risk. 

Change of Room

Should a booking have been made for a specific room and the reserved room is unsuitable or rendered unusable via circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to transfer the booking to an alternate room.


We ask that you take care while staying at Hunters Guesthouse.  You may be liable for any breakages or damages which you may cause to the accommodation or its contents.  We ask that you report any damage or breakage as soon as possible, especially any spillages, as it may be easier to clean these if we have acted quickly.  We do not normally charge for breakages, but we reserve the right to charge for repairs or making good if the damage is significant.


We hold some of the data gathered during the course of your booking to allow us to inform you of future offers.  Should you prefer that we not hold this information, please notify us.


On arrival and registration, keys will be issued to you for 24 hour access to Hunters Guesthouse throughout your stay.  These keys are your full responsibility for the duration of your stay.  Lost keys will be charged at £20.00 per set.  These keys are to be handed back on the morning you check out, by 10h00.


We will endeavour to ensure that all guests and their belongings are cared for sensibly.  We do not, however, accept liability for any damage or loss of any vehicles and possessions, or injury to any guest, unless it has been proved that this was caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees in the line of duty or employment.

Your safety is our concern, but the costs of caring for you after a fall are for your own account.

Lost Property

We are always happy to return anything that you may have left behind.  The total cost of return will be for your account. 

Missing Items

We reserve the right to charge for any of our items which are missing from your room after your departure.  You will however be notified before any charges are levied.


Pets are allowed at no additional cost, unless specific cleaning is required.


We do reserve the right to change our prices at any time.  This will not affect bookings already confirmed.


Smoking is not permitted within any part of the Hunters Guesthouse establishment, not in the bedrooms and not in the dining room area.  Offending guests may be asked to leave immediately and will be liable for professional cleaning of their room.  Any outstanding balance of nights booked, but not taken through early departure, will still be charged. 

Termination Policy

We reserve the right to terminate, without any notice period, your stay at Hunters Guesthouse, should any of your behaviour or actions be offensive to others or endanger anyone.  No refunds will be made under these circumstances.


As we are not VAT registered, our rates for all intents and purposes, are inclusive of VAT.

Wi-Fi Access

By using our Wi-Fi service, you automatically agree to the terms and conditions of use in force at the time – the major restrictions are no surfing for porn and no downloading files of more than 50MB.

You acknowledge and agree that all intellectual property rights, including but not limited to copyrights and software, trademarks, database rights, patents and inventions relating to the service, are owned by us and our licensors or contractors.  Nothing in this agreement operates to transfer any such intellectual property rights to you, our guest.  We do reserve the right to assign or sub-contract any of our rights or obligations under this agreement without notice to you, our guest.  If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions shall nevertheless remain in full force and effect.  This agreement is governed by the laws of the Unites Kingdom and the parties hereto submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the United Kingdom court.
